The past couple of weeks have seen MES Inc. engaged on several fronts in meeting our clients and potential clients in a series of events in the United States and Europe.

Detroit, MI, May 2-4, Michigan Minority Procurement Conference and Business Opportunity Exchange
As a minority-owned business extremely active with The Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC), we have decided to adhere to the Michigan events as well. For the first time this year, MES Inc. participated in the Michigan Minority Procurement Conference, Michigan’s premiere B2B conference that focuses on connecting suppliers with major corporations. This three-day event is held annually in Detroit at COBO Center, and features an action-packed trade floor with over 400 exhibitors, business development seminars, industry specific forums, business consulting sessions, and a procurement matchmaker where businesses can speak one-on-one with corporate buyers. This year’s seminars featured among other: Industry 4.0: Opportunities & Risks for Your Business; Doing Business in Mexico; Autonomous Vehicle Technology in Michigan and How It Will Affect the Future of MBE Suppliers etc.

Boston, MA, May 3-4, Design & Manufacturing New England
Featuring dynamic industry keynotes and interactive product demonstrations designed to keep buyers engaged on the show floor, Design & Manufacturing New England Design & Manufacturing New England is a 2-day event held at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) in Boston. It is an established meeting place for experts from the industry in the region to inform themselves about the latest innovations and trends in the areas of design and production. The event showcased products like 3D Printing, CAD/CAM/CAE Software, Contract Manufacturing, Laser Machine Services, Rapid Prototyping, Plastics & Elastomers, QA/QC, Sensing, & Inspection Systems etc. in the Industrial Products, Architecture & Designing, Manufacturing, Fabrication, Repair & Maintenance industries.

Hanover, Germany, April 24-28, Hanover Messe
Following the launch of our office in Poland, an MES Inc. delegation led by our President and CEO, Hiten Shah, participated this year, for the first time, at the Hanover Messe Expo. One of the largest expos in the world. The show featured a record 500-plus Industry 4.0 applications, saw over 6,500 exhibitors, 225,000 visitors, more than 1,500 lecturers and is estimated to have created over 5.5 million business contacts. Hannover Messe turned 60 this year and German Chancellor Angela Merkel opened the show.

The show’s chosen lead theme of “Integrated Industry – Creating Value” put a major spotlight on the benefits of Industry 4.0 and the role of humans in tomorrow’s integrated factories. As this year’s featured Partner Country, Poland called added attention to the need for close cooperation throughout Europe, while impressing attending professionals with its credentials as an innovative partner to global industry. Poland sent a total of 200 companies to Hannover, highlighting the country’s strong credentials as a dynamic and innovative industrial location.
