Hiten Shah met with India Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley

MES President and CEO, Hiten Shah was recently invited to a private cocktail event in New York with India Finance Minister, Mr. Arun Jaitley.
FM’s speech was short about the optimism surrounding India’s economic growth. He emphasized the investments being made in infrastructure and technology. He also emphasized and discussed the financial reforms for tax changes, attracting foreign direct investments. One of the biggest positive is the attempt to create “a single window” clearing agent for foreign NRI’s, investors and MNC’s to expedite and streamline the registration of businesses. Highlight continues to be the “Made in India” initiative which will continue to make Indian manufacturers efficient and productive in making them competitive with the Chinese and other manufacturers.
FM also reacted favorably to Mr. Shah’s question regarding to small businesses investments in India. Our President came fairly enthused from the conference given our investments and focus in developing sourcing from India.
