President & CEO Hiten Shah Participates in 2020 OMSDC Event

Our President and CEO, Hiten Shah, participated as a panelist during the 2020 Evolve or Dissolve Amidst COVID-19 and Beyond Technology discussion, hosted by OMSDC (Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council). Hiten spoke thoroughly on how investing in IT and technology before COVID-19, helped our company fight through these difficult times. He made the point that being proactive, flexible, and agile was the roadmap for surviving the storm and moving forward. Many of Hiten’s investments included our CRM system, quality applications, planning, sourcing, and growing our list of global suppliers. All of these improvements with technology made it possible for MES to maintain healthy revenues, sustainability, and continue serving customers during the pandemic. Growing our global supplier base, made it possible to continue manufacturing products and shifting business to those locations with minimal shutdowns; enabling our teams to fulfill and deliver orders.

While all of this was vital for the company, one of our biggest priorities was keeping the MES family safe. Employees were given the option to work remotely and social distance from others. Office doors remained open, but with a few changes, including daily office cleaning, complimentary masks and sanitation, social distancing, and staying in accordance with CDC guidelines.
