MES Wins Smart 50 for the 6th Year in a Row

For the 6^th year in a row, MES has been selected for the 2020 Smart 50 award. Since 2014, the Columbus Smart 50 Awards recognize the top executives of the 50 smartest companies in the Central Ohio region for their ability to effectively build and lead successful organizations. All 50 winners will be honored at a special celebration, and three organizations will receive specialty awards for their achievements in three category areas – innovation, impact, and sustainability. This year, President and CEO Hiten Shah, developed an award-winning project management software tool called MESH Advanced Product Quality Planning.

MESH APQP ensures a successful completion of all projects from customer award to production launch. This innovative software tool includes five phases for users:

Phase 1 – Product planning and Quality Program Definition

Phase 2- Product Design and Development

Phase 3 – Manufacturing Process Design and Development

Phase 4 – Process and Product Validation

Phase 5- Launch, Assessments, and Continual Improvement

The MESH APQP software isn’t just about meeting quality management standards. It is a framework built through clearly defined, pre-established steps that can help your company save time and resources by ensuring that quality and design problems are caught early on in the production process. It also establishes a level of communication between suppliers, customers, and project teams to ensure your customers are satisfied with the end product. Tasks in APQP are performed by a cross-functional team comprising of engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and distribution members.

The MESH APQP software and technology was developed by deliberating within our management team over who is responsible for what stage of the project. This tool is built based on the RACI framework, which helped us identify the key roles in a project including responsibility (who is doing the work), accountability (owner of the work), consulted (people who need to give input before the work can be done)and informed (people who need updates on progress or decisions).
