Answers to China Tariffs: Strategy for Protecting Your Product Costs

On September 23rd, President Trump initiated third set of tariffs which increased prices on almost $150 Billion worth of products in a variety of industrial sectors. There was also some military action in South China Sea which shows belligerent Chinese naval ships engaging in skirmishes with US vessels. These military actions as well as stubborn attitude by the leaders of both countries have made many executives uncomfortable with their existing supply chains. MES Metrics Mexico Safety Training

Creating a culture of workplace safety begins with a well-trained workforce. Last week, MES safety training program took place in MES Metrics Mexico. Employees trained on-site to improve their safety consciousness and knowledge, to prevent incident happening and implement first aid measures. MES believes that real-world experience on how to make the workplace safer for everyone is the best way to protect and benefit employees. Every year, there are many similar training programs being held at different locations globally at MES. These programs include fire protection, safety materials handling and storage, personal protective training, CPR and first aid. MES global offices and warehouses also have related inspections at regular intervals to ensure environmental safety. MES believes that employees are a company’s  greatest asset, and we want everyone works at MES has a healthy and safe working environment.

Columbus Businesses Talk About the Challenges of Doing Business in India

On March 3, 2017, MES President Hiten Shah was invited to speak at the Insight into India: Update on New Legal Developments + Business Opportunities event organized by Kegler Brown.  Hiten shared the stage with Joe Soldano, Director of Business Development at Worthington Energy Innovations and global business attorney and Kegler Brown’s Asia-Pacific Team Leader, Vinita Bahri-Mehra. The objective of the event was to offer interested companies overview of the business landscape in India, the opportunities available for U.S. companies and answering questions about new developments in India. Hiten talked about the challenges MES encountered in establishing a multi-regional operation footprint in India. Following that, every associate picked 1-2 charities which company donated to.
