Marketing & Engineering Solutions Supply Chain Innovations for Manufacturers The proliferation of customization for the consumer is creating an explosion of new products and product “versions”. Products no longer maintain a sufficient shelf life before a new version is necessary and supply chains struggle to manage requirements of fickle consumer demand. MES has developed a global supply chain system that provides complete outsourcing of supply chain management including supplier selection, quality management, warehousing and JIT shipments supported by state of the art IT systems. And their solution is specifically engineered to support those products with a short life cycle and lower volumes, freeing Supply Chain Directors and VPs to focus on core, high volume products. Per Hiten Shah, President, “We think there are three important metrics in supply chain – the On-Time Deliveries (OTD), the quality Parts Per Million (PPM) rejects, and Inventory control.” MES focuses on on-time deliveries and […]

Wherever our associates are based, they have made it their goal to give back to their communities. This month, MES Ningbo, following the recommendation of Ningbo Charity Federation, visited Man Tian Xing Service Center for the Disabled, a center caring for patients with special needs. Spending some time in the company of these young people was a highly enriching experience for our colleagues. Here is what Candy from the Accounting Department had to say about the activity: “ Though our team did not spend much time in the center, the activity had a huge impact on every single one of us. We focus too much on our work and do not realize there are so many people in need our help. In the future we are committed to devote more time and funds to charity and helping those in need”.
MES is proud to announce the launch this month of our first White Paper, called “China vs. India. A Sourcing Experience”. The White Paper Series is meant to share with our stakeholders some of the lessons learned and pain points from our vast global sourcing and supply chain management experience. “China vs. India. A Sourcing Experience” answers some of the questions from our clients who have difficulties in modelling their global sourcing strategies, and deals with the tradeoffs they have to make in terms of price, quality and lead times. The slowdown of the Chinese economy and the critiques of India’s inefficiencies are deterring companies from pursuing sourcing in China and India. Our analysis comes to show that the two Asian countries remain, for the medium term, the manufacturing engine of the world economy and the best solution for most of our clients’ needs. MES plans to roll out a […]
